The Story of the World is a four-volume series that tells the story of the world from the earliest nomads to the end of the Soviet Union. It is written in an engaging narrative style that is perfect for elementary school students. We will be using the first book, Ancient Civilizations. We will incorporate many fun, hands-on activities that help bring history to life and give your learner a greater appreciation for our past. We will create visual timelines, models of the ancient buildings and tools, and put on dramatic interpretations of past events. The goal of this class is to help students develop a love of history and a deeper understanding of the world around them. By studying the Story of the World, students will learn about the people and events that have shaped our world, and they will gain a better appreciation for the diversity of human cultures.
