Mrs. Pamela Evola
Administrator & Educator

Pamela Evola has been dedicated to nurturing children’s education for nearly 20 years, beginning her career in Special Education in 2006. She believes in empowering each student by leveraging their unique strengths to overcome challenges, combining hands-on teaching methods with fostering important life skills. Since 2015, Pam has been deeply involved with the homeschooling community, and since 2017, she has been homeschooling her own three daughters.
In 2019, Pam joined The Devine Schoolhouse, helping to develop and expand its new programs. In 2021, she stepped into the role of
Administrator, and in 2022, she led the transition to rebrand the organization as Learning Together AV, reflecting its collaborative mission.
Pam’s love of the arts shines through her lifelong involvement in theater — from acting and stage management to set design and costuming. When not educating or managing LTAV, she enjoys sewing, crafting, cooking, and baking. For several years, she was responsible for Food and Beverages at the Local Greek Festival, serving traditional Greek cuisine to nearly 3,000 guests in a single weekend. You can see her latest creative projects on her Facebook page, Pam Makes That.
She holds degrees from Antelope Valley College in Liberal Arts and Sciences, focusing on Math and Science as well as Clothing and Textiles.
Mrs. Patricia Devine
Educator
Mrs. Devine has been educating homeschool students for over 20 years, specializing in the IEW method of writing both in her own homeschool setting and in the classroom. With a deep passion for literature, writing, and U.S. History, she brings enthusiasm and encouragement to every class, coaching each student to reach their full potential. She has taught high school English for several years at a local charter school and previously competed on the Forensics Debate Team at CSUN while earning her Bachelor's degree in Communication Studies. In addition to her teaching experience, Mrs. Devine is skilled in tutoring all math levels through Algebra I and is available for private tutoring. Beyond the classroom, she has served on the Executive Board of West Coast Classical, a nonprofit supporting young musicians in the Antelope Valley, and has co-managed a small family business with her husband for the past 30 years.

Mrs. Cheryl Espinosa
Educator

Miss Cheryl is super excited to enter her 4th year with LTAV! She began her early childhood journey in 1985 working as a summer camp counselor at Sunshine Day Camp in Santa Clarita. She was promoted to Director of Sunshine Childcare and Learning Center and directed the before and after-school childcare facility. In 1989, she became the Pre-K Teacher in the same facility working with the younger learners. Mornings at Sunshine were spent teaching Pre-K whereas the afternoon focus was providing enrichment activities to elementary aged students grade K-6. She earned the necessary units while attending ECE classes at both College of the Canyons and a UCLA Extension course while working.
She, along with her husband Al, became parents (best job ever) in 1993 to Alejandro. She directed at Sunshine until 1995, when she became a mommy to Evelina.

Later, she and her family moved to Quartz Hill. She applied to be a Preschool teacher at Mission Bell Preschool and was immediately hired. In 2007 Miss Cheryl was promoted to Director. She loved working at Mission Bell until the pandemic closed them down in March of 2020. Not willing to accept that early retirement was close, she waited patiently for the right opportunity to re-enter the early childhood field. And viola, Learning Together AV has been that opportunity!
She adores nurturing and caring for the young learners. Her philosophy is that each learner is unique. And by incorporating differentiated learning centers each learner can thrive at their own pace.
She values her role supporting moms and dads in their homeschool journey.

Mrs. Kacey Karrer
Educator
Mrs. Kacey studied early childhood education and has 25 years experience as a preschool teacher (with periods working in afterschool programs, & nannying infants). Her passions truly are with children & animals! She has 3 children, 2 of which are already grown & college age. She is embracing every moment with her youngest knowing how fleeting it is. She appreciates the homeschool process, and her daughter has been thrilled to be part of learning together for 3 years now!
In her free time Kacey likes to paint, cook, anything craft, but mostly spend time with her family as family is everything to her and her husband of 23 years!! They coach softball together & enjoy attending their childrens' sports & other activities. Her strengths are learning through fun & games, & often messy projects! There should be joy in learning! Art & hands on is a big part of her homeschool style. She truly believes children are our future, & creating a positive learning experience is an investment in the next generation.
