Service Description

Embroidery is like drawing but with a needle and thread instead of paper and pencils. It is a wonderful creative outlet, but also allows students to practice fine motor skills, color theory, and problem-solving. In this class, students will learn a variety of embroidery stitches and how to use them to create their own “drawings” on fabric. We will start with the basics and add more stitches as student abilities and interests allow. Students will practice on sample designs and work towards small projects, such as bookmarks, tote bags, ornaments, etc.
