Using thematic play-based activities, this supplemental class will reinforce what your young learner is learning at home. We’ll engage in the power of storytelling through read-alouds and fairy tales to support the development of literacy and language. Letter and number recognition, reading comprehension and basic introduction to math and science are among the subjects they will experience through learning centers. Your young learners will delight in 2.5 hours exploring fun, interactive, tactile experiences structured to enhance the developing skills of students in TK through 1st Grade.

Our TK–1 Learning Adventure is the same program offered Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Registration enrolls your student for one day per week. We recommend beginning with one day; families interested in additional days may add them later as space allows.
Rockin' the ABC’s

Little learners will use SECRET STORIES in this class to help them figure out all those tricky phonics sounds that letters make when they get together in words. As we all know young children learn best by touching and doing.
The SECRET STORIES employ motor/muscle memory and action based cuing for acquisition of individual letter sounds. The goal of this class is to quickly fill learners’ toolboxes, ensuring they have what they need, when they need it-so as to serve their own personal reading and writing agendas.
Little Hands - Big Signs (ASL)

American Sign Language (ASL) is a visual-spatial language that is used by the Deaf and hard-of-hearing community in the United States. Miss Cheryl will engage Little learners in this fun and very different way of communicating using American Sign Language. Participants will gain a basic understanding of the ASL method. We’ll focus on the ASL alphabet, colors, numbers, shapes, and animals. Our hands will dance as we sing songs, learn basic words, terms and simple phrases. Learners will gain a better understanding of the ASL method which incorporates many movements that can be classified as adjectives, verbs, adverbs, and direct objects. At the same time, the signer incorporates the use of his or her body, giving essential meaning with eyes, face, shoulders, arms, hands, and even occasionally the lower torso of legs and feet.

Let’s roll the dice! We will give our little learners multiple opportunities to experience early number concepts and number sense which is critical for early childhood. Learners will thrive from mathematic experiences through play
and manipulatives as they make sense of numbers in their own minds. Number sense is a foundational idea in mathematics; it encourages students to think flexibly and promotes confidence with numbers.
Drama 1

In this drama class, students will explore the fundamentals of acting through theatre games, improv, scene work, and character development. Whether brand new to the stage or already eager to perform, students will build confidence, creativity, and teamwork while having lots of FUN!
Not sure if your little one is ready to perform?
Enroll in our introductory session! This first month gives students a chance to experience Drama before committing to a production. Students who are ready to continue will then register for the remainder of the semester and begin preparing for their show.
Open to 1st grade and up. No previous theatre experience required!
Voice

In this engaging and supportive singing class, students will explore the fundamentals of vocal technique for both solo and group performance. Through a mix of choral singing and individual coaching, they'll learn how to blend their voices, sing confidently in harmony, and develop their unique solo voice. Whether students are new to singing or looking to refine their skills, this class offers a well-rounded experience that balances group collaboration with personalized instruction.
